Linx have advised of a firmware upgrade for one of our interconnection points in London upon the evening of the 17/18th August.
When the session is withdrawn, we would expect brief routing disturbance limited to a few seconds.

Core capacity will not be an issue.

In line with industry best practice, we will be carrying out firmware updates on a number of Cisco switches within our network core.

Each switch will be rebooted individually to minimise any impact on customers with resilient services. Following each reboot, our monitoring systems will be checked to confirm that all circuits have returned to service before work begins on the next device.

The anticipated service interruption for each device is less than ten minutes.
